It's really important that children understand that reading can be fun! I will encourage my students to read at home and at school. When I have free time, sometimes I pull a book out and read. I feel that children feed off this. Impressions and influences really make a difference. Parents, please try to be a role model when it comes to reading!
By the end of the year, the students will...
- Be able to read on grade level by the end of the year.
- Be able to read with expression, as well as recognize the different punctuation used.
